Lately, it seems J and I have had various incidents in our lives that were out of our control and basically lead up to this one statement: Satan is on the warpath.
My mom has always said that when Satan starts attacking in multiple ways, we need to try to REJOICE because it usually means that God is about to do something amazing and good in our lives.
This is easier said than done.
It's hard not to get down and out when negative things happen with no rhyme or reason as to why they are happening.
Well, J and I have discussed and theorized and wondered and cried out in angst over some of the career and family issues that have occurred in our lives in recent weeks, and we still can not figure it all out.
In fact, the more we keep talking about it, the more confused and unsettled we get. So, the realization is to quit talking about it and pray.
This is also easier said than done. But necessary for peace of mind.
Anyway, I decided yesterday to also take my mom's advice and begin rejoicing in some way...
May I present our dessert last night:
This is homemade fresh blackberry and pear cobbler.
Good for the body AND soul.
Someone will be rejoicing in the Lord even more tonight over that last piece.
